The mission of CHEK ABC is to “Grow in Christ-like Service, Academics, and Character.” Since 2004, CHEK ABC has been committed to helping students grow in both faith and academic excellence. We believe education is more than instruction—it is about equipping students to navigate an ever-changing world through online and home-based learning. We view this work as a ministry.
Even if you do not have students enrolled at CHEK ABC, you are invited to partner with us in this ministry. There are three areas in which you can support our work through donations. All donations over $25 are tax-deductible and will receive a tax receipt.
- Tuition Relief
While CHEK ABC tuition fees are kept as low as possible, we do not want cost to be a barrier to accessing Christian education. We recognize that families are facing high inflation, rising living expenses, and increasing financial pressures. Donations help offset per-student tuition and are pooled to provide Tuition Relief for families who apply. Priority for Tuition Relief is given to families with multiple students enrolled in Grades K–9 and to families with students enrolled in the CONNECT program.
- CHEK GLOBAL
CHEK Global is a program designed to support missionary families. Because of the distance and local conditions in the countries where they serve, shipping curriculum and resources is both time-consuming and costly. We also encourage missionary families to donate any unused or leftover materials to the local country or ministry in which they are serving. Donations help offset these additional program costs and allow us to maximize the amount and quality of resources sent abroad.
- Facility Improvements
Nelson Christian School Society owns a multi-use facility on Johnstone Road in Nelson, B.C. It houses our K–9 brick-and-mortar school, CHEK ABC’s blended learning classes, the Librarium, and administrative offices. As an older facility constructed in the 1960s, it requires ongoing upgrades and improvements. Donations help fund these upgrades, enhancing the learning environment for students and the working environment for our staff.
